Love in my world usually ended up with someone hearing “I smite thee!” as she was cursed to be some lame flower for the rest of her life.

For three years, Alexandria has lived among mortals—pretending to be like them and trying to forget the duty she'd been trained to fulfill as a child of a mortal and a demigod. At seventeen, she's pretty much accepted that she's a freak by mortal standards... and that she'll never be prepared for that duty.

According to her mother, that’s a good thing.

But as every descendant of the gods knows, Fate has a way of rearing her ugly head. A horrifying attack forces Alex to flee Miami and try to find her way back to the very place her mother had warned her she should never return—the Covenant. Every step that brings her closer to safety is one more step toward death… because she's being hunted by the very creatures she'd once trained to kill.

The daimons have found her.
REVIEW:
Daimon was a great .5 novel. Jennifer Armentrout has an excellent writing style and offers a unique story. Daimon was short but I loved every minute of it. First I'm going to talk about the main character.
Alex is a half-blood. Which is the child of a god and a mortal. She is absolutely normal except she can kick butt like no one could kick butt before. After facing a tragedy at home that included an encounter with Daimons (evil creatures that feast on the essence of Gods). Daimons are crazy powerful and can even control natural elements. Alex runs away from home and encounters even more stuff along the way searching for safety.
Jennifer's writing was magnificent and keeps you hooked. I love the way she made Daimon progress . I also loved the way she gave Alex a great and powerful voice. I loved the mythological aspects of Daimon and the creativity Jennifer added to it. I also loved how she ended it leaving you to want more.
Overall Daimon was a great book. You WILL enjoy it  I promise. Jennifer adds the perfect amount of romance and kick butt-ted-ness to make a great novel. I would say a Percy Jackson from the girls point of view but it is so much more. Go pick up Daimon. Now! Drop everything you are doing and go get it.

  1. Daimon sounds so good, I wish that it wasn't an ebook so I could read it (loved Half-Blood). :)
