REVIEW:
Im not going to lie I started reading Mockingjay having read bad reviews. Quickly, after the first chapter my view changed , I was hooked. Ms. Collins has yet to disappoint me so far and Mockingjay wasn't an exception. I  absolutely loved Mockingjay. It is the last book in one of the GREATEST  I have ever read. I was upset when I reached the the last sentence. I am crossing my fingers for a spin-off series.
If you have never read any of the Hunger Game series you are missing out.  The whole idea Ms. Collins came up with is magnificent. In the future being thrown into an arena and battling to the death is something I have never read before Hunger Games. Mockingjay adds onto what happened in Catching Fire with more action and more from the Katniss, Peeta, and Gale triangle.  In Mockingjay you learn more about life in the Capitol and how the rebels treat the people they have captured from there.
Katniss ,the main character, has went  through a lot in the past two novels and goes through even more in Mockingjay. Suzanne Collins continues to develop Katniss's life and adds more twist and turns to her life. Katniss is a strong character  but does not lose her feminism.  She doesn't let anyone walk over her or take orders from anyone. She is willing to sacrifice herself for others without much thought at all. This makes her a character that is like-able to all the readers and characters. This helps her in her job as Mockingjay.
The cover of the Hunger Games series aren't that exciting kind of simple but still stunning in a way. They colors of the books are beautiful and the symbols on the cover actually deal with the book instead of the girl on dress covers. I also enjoyed that when you took off the cover there was a bird imprinted into the cover in either silver or gold just and added bonus to make it all the better.
Overall the Hunger Games trilogy is a wonderful series. I loved each and every one of them. Mockingjay goes along right with the other books in rating. I give Mockingjay a total 4/5. There is romance, battles, and thrilling components you couldn't ask for more from it. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a book thats different from their regular YA reads.  Go check out this books. It is wonderful. "May the odds be ever in your favor!"
