Book Review: YOU by Charles Benoit

Title: YOU
Author: Charles Benoit
Publisher: Harper Teen
(Published August 24 2010)
Source: Library
Rating: 4/5

This wasn't the way it was supposed to go.
You're just a typical fifteen-year-old sophomore, an average guy named Kyle Chase. This can't be happening to you. But then, how do you explain all the blood? How do you explain how you got here in the first place?
There had to have been signs, had to have been some clues it was coming. Did you miss them, or ignore them? Maybe if you can figure out where it all went wrong, you can still make it right. Or is it already too late? Think fast, Kyle. Time's running out. How did this happen?
You is the riveting story of fifteen-year-old Kyle and the small choices he does and doesn't make that lead to his own destruction.

REVIEW:
You is a very interesting read. It follows the life of Kyle your average sophomore with what i wouldn't really call behavior issues but isn't the best student. He doesn't really fit in but with a clique they call the hoodies. The book is also short so its a quick read. A really interesting aspect is the book is written in second person so that means the whole things uses you. It takes a  while to get used to but once you get in your really going to enjoy.   Some aspects of the book I didn't really understand why they are there . The main characters are really interesting and remind you of actual teenagers. From the hoodie Kyle to the weird new kid Zack. The book gives some twist and turns all throughout that give the book a little bit more of an edge. The book also has a surprise kind of ending . The last page will have  you sitting on the edge of your seat when the story starts to wrap up. Im not going to say what happens but it surprised me.
The book takes a little bit of reading to get into. The cover is AWESOME it is relevant to the book and is overall beautiful.  Overall I give You a total of 4/5. SO YOU should go pick up and read You!
